We all know that having a home creates a sense of stability, well-being, and independence. It's our personal space, a place for peace and security, and a gathering point where important relationships are forged and nurtured.
Families leaving city shelters for their own apartments can't usually experience these simple but important joys because they have little to no furnishings to call their own. Donna Webb is coordinating with programs that provide formerly homeless families leaving city shelters with furniture and household goods. Donna will select furniture and household goods of gently used or nearly new items donated by private and compassionate folks who want to change lives for the better.
Items needed are sofas, dressers, dining tables and chairs, rugs, lamps and small household appliances. We are always in need of new or gently-used furnishings for newly housed families. Donna will work with you to pick up your donated items or assist you with drop off.
